Straddling a narrow ridge a thousand feet above the Pokhara Valley with panoramic views of the Mt. Annapurna, Tiger Mountain Pokhara Lodge has set new standards of hospitality in Nepal's second city.
The lodge offers seclusion and luxury, and is an oasis where one can recover from the demands of a Himalayan trek. There are 14 stone bungalows, each en suite with private veranda and breathtaking views of the mountains. The main lodge has comfortable seating areas, a dining room decorated with traditional artefacts, Colonel Jimmy's Library and an outdoor terrace. A swimming pool sits in the terraced gardens. Within easy reach are picturesque hill villages, sub-tropical forests and alpine lakes, and guides are on hand to lead hikes.
Award-winning meals feature locally supplied organically grown products of the highest standards. Fresh herbs and salads come from the Lodge’s own organic gardens. Fruits and vegetables are grown in the village. Breakfast is in the English tradition and lunch is a Nepali buffet of a range of authentic dishes using local spices. An alternate light lunch of fresh salads and soups is available on request. Dinner is a daily changing table d’hôte menu including traditional European and British cuisine. Special healthy-eating menu options are available on request. The kitchen welcomes special requests and personal favourites as well as offering a range of menus for children, vegetarians and those with special dietary needs.
